Collaboration: Issue Four (2020)
Until recently, Communities Collaborating was facilitating the building of a coalition among small, often isolated communities across the United States. These communities are often “islands” (whether surrounded by water or unoccupied land) and offer distinctive local services–often serving as communities of heart.
While this collaboration is still of great value, there is now a much more pressing and urgent need for collaboration: the health care challenges associated with the coronavirus. Consequently, Communities Collaborating has provided its website to a newly organized task force called “The Pandemic: Hope and Action.” This task force, constituted of experienced human service professionals from throughout the world, offers advice and support regarding the psychological challenges associated with the virus.
