I’m deeply curious about what Mitch is suggesting about liminal spaces and the notion of being in a transformative reorder. I think this is an encouraging prospect in the sense that there’s a lot of dread right now that people are experiencing. Dread and disgust appear to be prolific. So, it would be nice to have a sense of how we get towards the transformative reorder. What might that look like?

I wanted to say one final thing to build on what Mitch has said. What’s interesting about the whale and the belly of the whale is that Jonah did not want to go to his destination. And in the belly of the whale, there was a transformation occurred, and then he was vomited out on the shores of where he should be. So, a point could be that we’re in the belly of the whale now, and the gods and the forces out there are saying, guess what folks, I’m taking you to where in the hell you need to go. Several colleagues of mine are speaking about the new democracy. That is, what would a reworked democracy work like? For instance, for Jenny, what would a new Kaiser look like? In the past, Kaiser has been one of the great innovative institutions in America. So maybe the leaders and employees of Kaiser, or the citizens of the United States are going to be vomited out somewhere. Maybe there is a better system out there on the shore, or maybe a better system can be created on this shore. Most importantly, we must acknowledge at the present time that this is a shore about which we don’t even yet know.
